What is net metering?
Net metering for solar is a billing arrangement that allows solar panel owners to send excess electricity generated by their solar systems back to the grid. They receive credits for the surplus power, which can be used to offset their electricity costs when their solar panels don’t produce enough energy, such as at night or during cloudy periods.
We are committed to providing you with a top-notch experience is our foremost priority, beginning from the moment you reach out to us. Our team will handle all aspects of the process.

How net metering works
- Renewable energy systems, such as solar panels, produce electricity from sustainable sources like the sun.
- Your home or business utilizes electricity from both the renewable energy system and your utility's grid as needed
- Any surplus electricity generated by the renewable energy system is sent into your utility's grid.
- Your utility tracks the electricity you draw from and contribute to their grid.
- You receive a bill for the electricity consumed from the grid and, in return for the excess renewable electricity you supply, earn credits on your electricity bill. These credits can be carried over for up to 12 months
To qualify for net metering, your primary purpose for generating renewable electricity must be self-consumption. You’ll need to establish a net metering agreement with your utility to exchange excess renewable electricity for on-bill credits. Additionally, you must apply to your utility to connect your renewable energy system to their grid and meet their technical, safety, and inspection requirements.
